Mason Jar Decor

After last week’s snowman decor, I couldn’t help but continue on that trend this week. I’ve always had a love of snowmen. I think I got that from my Mom Mom, who always has plenty of snowmen decorations in her house at Christmastime. But snowmen are such a wonderful piece of winter decor even outside of setting them out at Christmas.

I don’t know about you, but I love mason jars. I know, it’s cliche–look at just about any home with rustic decor and you’re bound to see at least one mason jar sitting around with a burst of flowers coming out the top. But there’s another way to decorate with mason jars–a way that’s more personal and more tailored to your home…

Making a pumpkin out of mason jar lids is apparently a big craft this year; everywhere I look, I’m seeing them pop up! Now normally I do tutorials using items that are commonly around the house, but it occurs to me as I type this one up that not everyone may have 15+ mason jar lids lying around the house. Still, if you tend to collect thrift stores’ mason jars the way that I do, you may be surprised to realize you bought some jars with lids already on them…
